The South Milwaukee Historical Society is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, established in 1972.  Our museum, located at 717 Milwaukee Avenue, is curated and cared for by our dedicated Officers and members of the Board of Directors.

Our city’s motto is “Proud Past…Promising Future”.  Our mission is to preserve and to share that proud past with our community and future generations.    Please consider any of the following ways that you can support that mission:

  • Donate items you have that relate to South Milwaukee history.  Donation Form    Note: If you have pictures related to South Milwaukee history but do not wish to donate them: Please bring them to us during an Open House and we will scan them and give them right back to you.
  • Monetary donations
  • Check out the Coming Events page for activities you might be interested in.   You do not need to be a member to participate.
  • Join the Society!   A membership form can be found on the Members page.
